My Cloudy View of Hell

Raised as a Catholic by my mother I have always followed the Catholic view of Hell. Although now as I grow older it is much easier to question the Catholic viewpoint. I believe that yes, there is a hell that one could possibly be banished to if they do not live a "good" life. However a "good" life is very relative. The Catholic viewpoint is very strict. One must repent all sin and not commit any of the mortal sins. i.e. Suicide, Murder ect. Personally, I don't believe that this is true. I do believe that Murder and Suicide will most likely land you in Hell but if one is mentally sick or the situation provides them with no other choice (self defense, war) then you will not be sentenced to an eternity in Hell.

As to what hell actually is I believe it is also completley dependent on the person. I believe that a person's hell is whatever causes them the most pain. Whether it be physical, mental, emotional it does not matter.

I believe that life is a gift. If you dont purposely try to screw it up, you will be fine.
